The Trump Insurrection Is An Inside Job By Unaccountable Actors
As General Michael Flynn’s case reaches its resolution, the ongoing project of Trump Derangement Syndrome has shifted from Russia paranoia to process crimes based on the president’s lewd lifestyle. The incoming Democratic majority in the House of Representatives promises impeachment hearings for all.
Meanwhile, investigations continue into the Deep State’s attempts to subvert Trump’s election. Documents show that FBI sources played fast and loose with their interrogation of Flynn and the secret FISA court.
How it is all resolved is still in question. What is clear, however, is that Trump is pitted in a battle against a foe more formidable than the Democrats or Vladimir Putin or Huawei phones. It is the Bureaucracy.
When the Flynn case was breaking in February of 2017, I foresaw the onset of this fight— a fight I predicted Trump would lose in “The Trump Insurrection Is An Inside Job By Unaccountable Actors
“The GOP establishment couldn’t find a way to halt Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic talking party couldn’t derail him. The overheated legacy media was similarly stymied in its desperate attempt to keep Trump out of the White House.
But The Donald might finally have met his match in the bureaucratic establishment of the American government. Coddled in its Barack Obama worldview the Swamp has decided it wants his orange scalp. And those who know the immense power of the rent-seekers, placeholders and the landed aristocracy of the union and non-union employees in DC will tell you that their money is on the unelected power brokers in their warrens.
The hints that they are engaged in an unofficial insurrection came in the flood of leaks from even the most exclusive offices in the Trump establishment. Some were serious breaches about national security. Others were (later discredited) descriptions of Trump wandering the White House in his dressing gown at all hours of the night.
The leaks from people whose job it is to loyally serve the president were eagerly accepted by the reporters who survive on the scraps tossed out the back door of government. So what if they had to walk back a few of the more bug-eyed statements if they could cause a week of Don Lemon’s head exploding on CNN?
Trump’s Twitter account has noticed the drip-drip-drip from people surrounding him who wish him ill. “The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?”
The latest leak from the alt-government is the Michael Flynn schmozzle currently roiling the chattering class in Washington. Flynn was caught in a surveillance sweep by American officials that was bugging Russian officials. While no one has seen a transcript of his conversations, some allegedly damning details were hinted by security officials within the government to friendly media sources who (surprise) evidently share a dislike for Trump and his policies.
The revelation ended up costing Flynn his job. As columnist Charles Krauthammer wrote, this was a cover-up without a crime. The polite word for leaking the transcripts of a private citizen’s conversations is criminal. The more telling word for the performance of these Obama-era vigilantes in probably insurrection.
Long the source of much Democratic political cash, left-leaning public servants (such as IRS enabler Lois Lerner) have clearly decided that they, not the duly elected president, are the ones deciding policy in America. In a colossal display of hubris, the folks with nickel-plated pensions and comfy sinecures in Georgetown have embarked on a regime change in the first first weeks of Trump’s mandate.
To get an idea of their cunning and stealth in manipulating the Jake Tappers and Keith Olbermanns, look no further than Kimberley Strassel’s book The Intimidation Game. It shows how the IRS and other branches of government punished conservatives in their attempts to fund raise and organize for the elections from 2008- 2016.
Appalled by even Mitt Romney, these ghosts in the machine create policy through subversion. This will come as news to the Constitution which clearly gives the job of creating law to elected representatives.
None of this comes as a surprise to those who watched the vested interests at the State, Justice and Attorney General’s offices delay, obfuscate and otherwise protect Hillary Clinton’s email scandal from exposure. They are the masters of their own turf, and heaven help the politicians who dares challenge them.
This l’état c’est moi attitude is endemic to large institutions in America or Canada that have no accountability over time. Despite their sworn duty to serve the people of the nation, the bureaucrats see the equation the other way around. In lifetime sinecures they view the public as being there to serve the system they’ve created for processing the business of state. Their comfort and convenience is assured because they play with other people’s money and never have to face accountability.
When intrepid reporters like Strassel finally caught on to how Lois Lerner was undermining the election process at the IRS, she was allowed to plead the Fifth and walk away into the future with a golden pension and the thanks of the progressives in the machinery. That behaviour, not Trump’s bluster and exagerration, is a far greater threat the U.S.
Let’s see Melissa McCarthy and Baldwin make a joke about that.”
